Dr Guido Drago
BSc(Hons) Physiology, MSc.Forensic Science, PhD.Genetics, P.G.Dip.Business Enterprise & Development, P.G.Cert.Business Marketing Strategy.
Guido has a background in Forensic Science and worked for several years in a busy paternity testing laboratory in London. He has obtained a PhD. in Genetics and has been running his own business for over 19 years.
Guido joined Applied Enzyme Technology Ltd. in 1999 as a research officer and became Managing Director in 2001. In 2005 he won a scholarship in Executive Business Marketing Strategy at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
He formed a DNA testing company Polygenyn Ltd in 2006 providing DNA testing services for the Welsh community.
In 2015, he moved to Perpetuus Carbon Technologies Ltd. to head up a new biosensor department tasked with the development of novel sensors based on graphene like materials.
In 2022 Polygenyn Ltd. launched a number of new products including protein stabilisation products and Agri-Tech diagnostics reagents.
His technical expertise includes the stabilisation, freeze drying and immobilisation of biological molecules such as enzymes, peptides, antibodies and DNA fragments used in the construction of novel electrochemical and optical biosensors. He works as a consultant in the above subject areas.
In his spare time Guido can be seen messing around on one of his collection of scooters!!

Rachel Drago
BSc.(Hons) Nursing Studies, MSc Human & Applied Physiology, Diploma in Therapeutics, PGDipACP, RN, RNT, QN.
Rachel has always been passionate about nursing and health science, starting out as a nursing auxillary in 1986, qualifying as a registered nurse in 1991. Her nursing career spans 31 years in hospitals, university lectureships and for the past 20 years specialising in Primary Care Nursing. Rachel was awarded the Queen’s Nurse Title in 2014. She is currently working as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in a GP surgery in South Wales.
Rachel is also a Consultant Nurse for Essity specialising in Lymphology, lymphoedema, tissue viability and wound care. She is a freelance Lecturer in Nursing and Honorary Lecturer at the University of Wales School of Medicine, Dept of Toxicology and Pharmacology.
"My passion has always been nursing & caring for people in the community. By interacting with our clients on a personal level I continue to feel I am making a real difference to people’s lives."
In her spare time Rachel enjoys looking after her dogs and riding her Triumph Bonneville motorbike.
